Since childhood, we have been drinking cow’s milk due to the belief that it provides significant health benefits such as enhancing immunity, strengthening bones, and improving sleep quality. Whether it is pure milk, sweetened condensed milk, or UHT milk, they all come from cows. Yes, even those marketed as bear’s milk.

However, it turns out that other animal milks also offer numerous advantages. Goat’s milk and Sumbawa horse milk, in particular, have become an increasingly popular choice among the community. So, which milk is more nutritious and better for our health: goat milk or horse milk?

To determine the nutritional value of these two types of animal milk, let us explore their advantages:

1. Goat’s milk has a higher protein and calcium content while having fewer calories than cow’s milk.

According to the US Department of Agriculture data, 100 grams of goat’s milk contains 3.5 grams of protein and 134 mg of calcium, while the same amount of cow’s milk contains 3.3 grams of protein and 125 mg of calcium.

Additionally, nutritionists suggest that goat’s milk is more easily digested by the body and is less likely to cause inflammation, making it a suitable alternative for individuals with cow’s milk allergy or lactose intolerance.

2. Wild horse milk has a complete set of protein derivatives despite having lower nutritional content than
cow’s and goat’s milk.

Horse milk is a popular beverage in Sumbawa Island, Indonesia, believed to enhance immunity and cleanse the body’s organs. However, if you have any underlying health issues and want to incorporate Sumbawa horse milk into your diet, it’s best to first seek a doctor’s consultation.

There are several animal milks other than cow’s milk that are suitable for human consumption. Milk is a rich source of vital nutrients, including vitamins, proteins, minerals such as calcium, magnesium (Mg), phosphorus (P), and zinc (Zn), and fat. Thus, it is recommended that everyone consume milk to maintain their overall nutrition.
