Chicken Cheese Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients
- 500 g chicken fillet (thigh) - cut according to taste
- 200 g straw mushroom/portobello mushroom
- 1 onion - sliced
- 4 cloves of garlic - bruised and minced
- 100 ml cooking cream/plain UHT milk
- Water
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 1 tsp oregano/mixed herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices quick melt/mozzarella cheese
- Parsley to taste
Cooking Instructions
- Marinate the chicken fillet with salt and pepper for 30 minutes. Grill until browned and set aside.
- Sauté garlic until fragrant. Add sliced mushrooms, onions, a dash of water, and corn starch. Add cooking cream and stir well.
- Bring into a boil and let the sauce thickens. Add grilled chicken pieces and sprinkle with oregano/mixed herbs, salt, and pepper. Adjust the flavour as needed.
- Top with 4 slices of cheese and garnish with parsley on top.
- Enjoy.
