Empowering Kids with Balanced Nutrition Knowledge

Do you think it is difficult to get children to develop the habit of eating healthy food? This time we hear from one of Ayo-ma’s team members, Vidy, a mother with a toddler. According to Vidy, healthy food is rich in nutrients and contains elements that help make the body more energised.

As we know, nowadays food is very varied, tempting us to constantly try new menu’s marketed outside. When the food is delicious and affordable, we may resort to consuming it regularly. However, what about the nutritional content? What about the composition? Are there any impacts of consuming these delicious foods regularly? By introducing healthy foods from childhood, children will learn how to choose foods that are good for them.

Vidy’s toddler is currently 2 years old. Since early on, Vidy has been incorporating healthy ingredients into her child’s meal. For example, vegetables such as broccoli, spinach, or pumpkin. For fruit, she includes apples, oranges, and pears.

The menu is also fairly easy to make. For example, Broccoli Cream Soup. Why broccoli? Broccoli contains many nutrients beneficial for child development, such as magnesium, zinc, and phosphorus.

As a mother, Vidy also prepares snacks. They vary from snack sticks to fruit, making them more filling, adding fibre, and healthier as a whole.

Have your children been introduced to nutritious food? Let’s support their optimal growth by introducing them to healthy and beneficial foods from an early age.
