Broccoli and Mushroom Stir Fry
Ingredients
- 1 large broccoli
- 200g straw mushroom, washed-cleaned-sliced
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 onion sliced lengthwise
- Salt
- Sugar
- Mushroom stock
- Onion
Cooking Instructions
- Clean the broccoli and cut it into florets. Soak in salt water for 15 minutes and rinse.
- Bring enough water to a boil and immerse broccoli in it for 3 minutes. Immediately remove and submerged in cold water for 1 minute. Drain.
- Sauté garlic until fragrant, then add mushrooms, salt, sugar, mushroom stock (optional), and oyster sauce. Taste and adjust.
- Add onion and saute. Add broccoli and stir it well with the other ingredients. Remove from heat and serve.
- TIPS for storing broccoli: uncooked broccoli should be stored in the refrigerator by letting the stems submerged in water. Fresh broccoli will last for about 5 days.
- TIPS for storing mushrooms: Stored mushrooms often turn black and watery quickly. Store unwashed mushrooms in a kitchen paper towel folded into a bag. Make sure that the mushrooms are fully dried and fully covered by paper towels. Mushrooms will last about 5 days.
