Corn Jelly
Ingredients
- 1 sachet clear agar-agar/clear nutrijel
- 2 sweet corn
- 65 ml coconut milk
- 500 ml water
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp honey (adjusted to your preference)
- 1 pandan leaf
- Ripe corn kernels (as a topping-optional)
Cooking Instructions
- Shave corn and blend them with water in a blender. Strain and discard the pulp.
- Combine corn juice with agar-agar and boil. Add pandan leaves, salt, and honey. After it comes to a boil, add coconut milk and stir until fully cooked.
- Transfer the corn agar mixture into desired bowls or containers. Garnish the top with cooked corn kernels and put them in the refrigerator.
- The corn agar is best served chilled.
- TIPS: For chewy and tender agar-agar, combine it with nutrijel in a 1:1 ratio. For a move visually appealing color, avoid using brown sugar or palm sugar. Instead, optional for honey or sugar cubes.
