Hongkong Sauce Chicken
Ingredients
- 5 chicken thighs
- Chicken marinade:
- 6 garlic cloves – bruised and minced
- 5 spring onions – slice long
- 4 cm ginger – slice thinly
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- Sugar and pepper
- Stir-fry ingredients: sliced spring onion and ginger
Cooking Instructions
- Marinate the chicken thighs with the marinade ingredients for at least 1 hour (for optimal results, marinate overnight in the refrigerator).
- Heat a small amount of oil in a pan and sauté the sliced spring onion and ginger until fragrant. Add the chicken along with the remaining marinade. Pour in a small amount of water.
- Cook the chicken over low heat, ensuring even cooking by flipping it occasionally. If the chicken starts to dry out, add water as needed.
- Cook for approximately 30 minutes or until the spices have infused into the chicken and it is fully cooked.
- Once done, slice the chicken into pieces and serve it warm. Enjoy your meal!
