Tripple Prohe
Ingredients
- 1 (steamed ingredients):
- 3 chicken eggs
- 5 medium sized shrimp – cut into small pieces
- 1 box of white tofu – cubed
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp mushroom stock
- 250 ml water
- 2 (stir-fry ingredients):
- 200 gr ground beef
- 5 cloves of garlic – bruised and minced
- 2 red chili peppers – sliced
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 5 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp corn starch solution
- 1 tsp mushroom stock
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 spring onion
- sugar
Cooking Instructions
- Crack 3 eggs, season them with salt and broth, then add water and beat until thoroughly mixed. Careful not let it foam.
- Prepare a container and place tofu and shrimp pieces at the bottom. Pour beaten eggs through a strainer into the container to ensure no air bubbles. Cover the container with plastic wrap (pierced with holes to prevent water condensation from dripping onto the food). Steam for 20-25 minutes.
- While the eggs are steaming, sauté chopped garlic and chili until fragrant. Add minced meat, pepper, mushroom stock, and a dash of sugar. Add a small amount of water followed by oyster sauce, soy sauce, and more stock. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary, then thicken the sauce with a corn starch solution, stirring well.
- Once the eggs are cooked, top with the seasoned ground beef and garnish with chopped spring onions. This protein-rich dish, featuring three key ingredients, is a favourite among mothers as a wholesome meal for children.
