White Taro Congee
Ingredients
- 250g white taro, roughly chopped
- 250ml water
- 2 pandan leaves, knotted
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Coconut milk to taste
- Brown sugar to taste
Cooking Instructions
- Steam taro for about 30 minutes, set aside.
- Boil water, brown sugar, salt, coconut milk, and pandan leaves.
- Boil taro with water until it becomes porridge, then add coconut milk.
- Ready to serve.
- Did you know that taro is rich in fiber and nutrients? To avoid experiencing itchiness caused by the sap of taro, it is recommended not to handle the tuber directly when peeling it. After peeling, rub salt onto the taro and wash it.
